COVID-19 Update: September 1, 2021
As we happily re-open our doors to the public and welcome our amazing customers, we ask that you help us do our part to help prevent the spread of COVID. We have new policies and procedures in place based on guidelines from the Vermont Health Department and the CDC.
Personal Protection
First and foremost, we ask that if you are sick or experiencing any symptoms of any sort of illness, please stay at home. We are asking that everyone entering the store – whether you are vaccinated or not – please wear a mask that covers both your mouth as well as your nose. Upon entry, hand sanitizer will be available and we ask that you take a second and sanitize your hands. Our staff will be wearing masks, whether they are vaccinated or not. Plexiglass barriers will be in place to keep a safe barrier between staff and customers in areas of high face-to-face contact, but we ask you to keep your mask on at all times in the store if you are not vaccinated.
Social Distancing
To help with social distancing, we are limiting the number of people that can be in the stores at any given time, staff will be monitoring.
If the state should return to any sort of Covid shutdown, we will follow the State of Vermont COVID recovery guidelines including travel and quarantine information for out-of-state visitors again. They require that if you have been out of Vermont, especially if the county that you have traveled from is a designated red or yellow zone county, a 14-day in state self-quarantine period is required. More details including a list of green, yellow, and red counties can be found at https://accd.vermont.gov/covid-19/restart/cross-state-travel. The Vermont cross state travel map is updated every Tuesday.
Boot Fitting
For boot fitting or to try on/buy new boots, please call us at 802-422-9675 (Killington) or 802-228-3344 (Ludlow/Okemo) to check availability and make an appointment with one of our pros! Please remember to bring your own socks, or plan to buy some while at the store. No try-on socks will be available this season. Only the boot fitting customer is permitted in the boot room. Additional details available, when scheduling your appointment.
Rentals, Demos and Junior Lease Packages
We will be offering daily rentals and demos as well as Junior Lease Packages. Please call ahead to reserve specific demos. All equipment will be completely sanitized each time it is returned.
Ski Tuning
Ski tuning will be available. You must drop the skis off and pick them up later. No waiting in the store. Enter on the main level of the store (at the red awning) and proceed down the stairs to your left upon entry. Exit through the exterior doors located on the lower level. All skis will be sanitized when they are received. You should sanitize them after pick up, if you so choose. If you are not vaccinated, please wear a mask during delivery and pick up. For easy, contactless ski tuning related transactions we recommend you purchase a season tune. No waiting in line or face to face contact at the cash register to pay. Just drop yours skis off in the designated rack and pick them up the next day (or whatever day pick up is specified for).
Try-Ons other than boots
Fitting rooms will be available to try on clothing. Helmets and goggles will be available for trying on – they will be sanitized each time. Returns will be accepted for exchange or store credit. All sales are final on anything sold at 50% off or more (hardgoods and softgoods).
Sanitization
All workstations, cash register areas, credit card machines, and pens used for customer transactions will be sanitized between each transaction. Our credit card machines accept Apple Pay and other touchless transaction methods. Please utilize these whenever possible. Credit card transactions under $25 will not require a signature.
Curbside Pick-up and Drop-off
For those that aren’t ready to integrate into the world, we are also still happy to handle curb-side pickups and drop-offs. You can order online items on our website and select “Local Pickup” and either “Killington” or “Ludlow/Okemo” or give us a ring during business hours and we’ll come out and meet you at your vehicle.
Business Hours
Normal business hours are likely to vary slightly from our typical winter hours, so please check our website and/or Google before coming out – and of course if all else fails – call to confirm before you make the drive.
Again, we are so excited to have you join us as we gear up for an amazing winter! Thanks for understanding and cooperating. The health and safety of our staff and our customers are paramount to our success. Looking forward to a healthy and safe winter season!
